Ludorf brings A Little Taste of Italy to SFA

The Last Lecture Series will begin at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, in the Twilight Ballroom, with a presentation titled "A Little Taste of Italy."

For those interested in Italy and what it has to offer, Dr. Mark Ludorf, a professor of psychology at SFA, will deliver a speech over his knowledge and experiences of Italy. Students, faculty, staff and the Nacogdoches community are invited to attend as Dr. Ludorf takes the audience through a tour of Italy via film and photos.

Ludorf has traveled to Italy many times. While there, he has visited Venice, the Vatican, Rome and Verona. He also has been to the University of Padua, which is one of the world's first colleges.

Through his many visits to Italy, Ludorf has come to understand the culture and aspects Italy has to offer. His speech will include cultural information, historical landmarks and personal stories that will endear you to the famous "boot-shaped" country.

The Last Lecture Series is designed to highlight SFA faculty who have a unique perspective on a topic or hobby. This series will show that the faculty has varied interest outside of their teaching and research discipline. Also, by sharing these interests, hopefully passion will strengthen the academic reputation of SFA. A goal of the series is for students to see their professors in a whole new light.

Following the presentation, the Office of Student Life will hold a reception allowing everyone a chance to ask any questions they may have about Italy and the content of Ludorf's speech.
