Thursday, Feb. 28

An officer was dispatched to the Lobby of UPD in reference to a damaged vehicle. The officer made contact with the complainant, who stated that sometime between 02/27/2008 and 02/28/2008 an unknown person broke the mirror off of his vehicle while it was parked in Lot 29. There are no suspects.

Friday, Feb. 29

An officer was dispatched to an off-campus location in reference to a report of assault. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the complainant, who stated that on 02/29/2008 at approximately 2:45 am he was assaulted by an unknown male in Lot 21. There are no suspects.

An officer was dispatched to Hall 16 in reference to criminal mischief. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the suspect, who admitted to breaking glass from a door in the Hall 16 stairwell. There is one suspect.

An officer was dispatched to Steen Hall in reference to a person with a handgun. The officer made contact with the complainant, who stated that she observed a male exhibit a handgun from the waistband of his pants. The suspect was gone upon the officer's arrival and the officer received further information that the handgun was possibly a toy. There are no suspects.

An officer was dispatched to the UPD Lobby in reference to theft. The officer contacted the complainant, who stated that while between 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on 02/28/2008 he was in the computer room located at the HPE Complex he had left his wallet unattended on one of the desk and at 1:00 p.m. on that same day he noticed that his wallet was missing along with $130 in cash, several ID'S and two debit cards. There are no suspects.

An officer was dispatched to the UPD Lobby in reference to theft. The officer contacted the complainant, who stated that on 02/28/2008 approximately 8:00 p.m. a male had walked into the convenience store located at Lumberjack Village and had taken some candy without paying for it. There are no suspects.

An officer was dispatched to the UPD Lobby in reference to a criminal mischief. The officer contacted the complainant, who stated that on 02/29/2008 at approximately 4:00 p.m. he had parked is vehicle in Lot 47 and when he returned to his vehicle at 7:30 p.m. he noticed that his tire had been cut. The complainant further advised that it may have been done by someone that he knows, because he had seen him at the UIL Basketball game. There are no suspects.

Sunday, March. 2

An officer was dispatched to the University Center in reference to criminal mischief that occurred by four juvenile males. The officer arrived and contacted the complainant, who stated that a black marks-a-lot was used by one of the juveniles to write on the walls. It was found that the juvenile that had written on the walls had been previously banned from campus. He was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention facility in Longview. There are four suspects.

An officer was dispatched to the Student Recreation Center in reference to a stolen bicycle. The officer contacted the co plainant, who stated that on 03/02/2008 at about 4:15 p.m. he had placed his unsecured bicycle in the bike rack and when he returned it was missing. Upon further investigation the officer was able to locate the missing bicycle at the Village Parking Garage and returned it to the owner. There are no suspects.

While on patrol an officer noticed that a do not enter sign was partially torn down in Lot 46. The officer was advised that the sign had not been damage during the previous shift. There are no suspects.

Monday, March 3

At 1:33 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle that was parked with the engine running in Lot 58. As the officer approached the vehicle he observed that the driver was slumped over behind the steering wheel. The officer made contact with the driver and could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The officer then placed this subject under arrest for public intoxication and transported him to the Nacogdoches County Law Enforcement Center.

An officer was dispatched to the University Center in reference to theft. The officer contacted the complainant, who stated that sometime between 12/20/2007 and 02/12/2008 a Kodak camera was noticed to be missing or misplaced from the office of the Multicultural Center in the student center and the complainant further advised that she needed to file a report. There are no suspects.

An officer was dispatched to the UPD Lobby in reference to credit card abuse. The officer contacted the complainant, who stated that he had lost his debit card sometime between 03/01/2008 and 03/03/2008 some place between Lumberjack Village and Clark Blvd. The complainant advised the officer that his bank had contacted him in reference to several unauthorized charges on his card. There are no suspects.

An officer was dispatched to the UPD Lobby in reference to theft. The officer contacted the complainant, who stated that on 03/02/2008 she had left her purse unattended between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on 03/03/2008 and was then notified that $200 had been taken out of account through the ATM machine at Steen Hall. There are no suspects.
