Student Activities Association’s event, Coffee House, has been postponed until further notice due to COVID-19 exposures within their staff.
“We decided that out of an abundance of caution we would postpone the event to a later date,” Madison Coplen, SAA president, said. “At this time, we have not determined when the event will be moved to but we will make an announcement when we find out.”
When the event does get rescheduled, they plan to provide coffee, hot cocoa and snacks for all attendees, as well as various forms of entertainment and art.
SAA also suggest to students to bring their own pillows and blankets to participate in the pillow pit. There is also a talent show planned with a special prize to the voted winner.
There are more events planned for the semester, including the Shatter N’ Grow at the Baker Pattillo Student Center Plaza on Sept. 21. This event will provide objects for students to shatter for therapeutic purposes.
“We are so excited to have everyone back on campus,” SAA Officer Chris Valdez said. “If you are interested in event planning and possibly seeing your event put on campus, you should definitely apply!”
