The SFA women’s bowling team went 6-6 at their hosted Motiv Ladyjack Classic in Kenosha, Wis., from Nov.12 through Nov. 14. The Ladyjacks now are 23-15 overall.
The Ladyjacks competed against Youngstown State, Nebraska University, Duquesne University, Marian University, Aurora University, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, McKendree University, Arkansas State University and Carthage College.
Senior Carlene Beyer from Ogdensburg, Wis., earned herself the titles of Tournament Most Valuable Player and 1st Overall during the tournament with an average of 228.20 per game.
The first day of the tournament on Nov. 12 was a success for the Ladyjacks with a 3-2 overall. The team won against UWW 886-853. The team also won against CC 1048-934 as well. The team lost to ASU 951-1078.
Day two kicked off on Nov. 13 and the team went 2-2. The team won against Marian 1015-902 and AU 987-848. The team fell short with a loss against YSU 948-999.
The last day of the tournament resulted in a 1-2 day for the team. The team was swept away against Youngstown State and lost all four matches. The team went up against Maryville and went to five matches with SFA winning one and losing four.
The next tournament for the Ladyjacks will be the Stormin’ White and Blue Classic Jan. 8 through Jan. 10 in Las Vegas, Nev.
