Student Activities Association host a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" performance from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 2. The show will have the original “Rocky Horror” playing in the background as a shadow cast reenacts the scenes in front of the screen.
Gabriela Saldivar, a senior early education major from Alvin, is the SAA officer overseeing the show.
“Only 150 students will be allowed to enter due to CDC guidelines,” Saldivar said.
Props will be provided at the entrance to participate in the performance as well.
“It’s not the full list of props like usual, however, it is most– because there were just some things we couldn’t get to follow CDC guidelines,” Saldivar said.
There will also be a costume contest for students who dress up in Rocky Horror apparel and a chance for audience members to win prizes.
The cast has been released on all of SAA’s social media platforms.
Ronak Patel, a freshman hospitality major from Dallas, will play Riff Raff in the performance.
“I’m excited for people to see the shadow cast in action and how we interact with them,” Patel said.
The show will be performed in person at the Baker Pattillo Student Center Movie Theater and is free for the first 150 students.
