Where can you find backlights and get splattered with glow-in-the-dark paint? No, not a rave party; the Glo Nac 5K!

The Freshmen Leadership Academy is hosting Glo Nac 5K on Nov. 16. The run will begin at 4 p.m. at the Intramural Fields and go trough the SFA Gardens.

“You will be splattered with glow paint- it’s glow-in-the-dark,” freshmen run coordinator Leah Houser said. “You don’t have to wake up early like most 5Ks.”

A glow-in-the-dark run at 4 p.m may sound like a stretch, but due to Daylight Saving it will be dark at that time. Also no need to worry about the paint because it is hypoallergenic and non-toxic.

“There are going to be lots of blacklights, so wear white, dress up with bright tutus and glow themed items of clothing,” freshmen run coordinator Alyson Neeley said.

Students can register online on active.com or tinyurl.com/glonac5k. The first 150 to register will receive a free t-shirt. The 5K costs $24.95 for students with ID and $28.95 for non-students. Proceeds will go to an organization called Noroc which stands for New Opportunities for Romanian Orphans and Children.

Best wishes with your 5K! We just had our annual Orphan Run this past weekend. It's a great way to raise financial support while giving people a chance to have fun! Praying for great weather!
