The Residence Hall Association will host this year’s Fall Fest for students and the Nacogdoches community from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Baker Pattillo Student Center Plaza.

Fall Fest is a program designed to let everyone have a safe Halloween experience with music, carnival-like games and activities, refreshments, prizes and a costume contest.

Members of student organizations, clubs and residence halls will line the plaza in front of the student center with booths and tables to give children the opportunity to have fun at each station.

“I think that it is a great way to get SFA students involved with the community,” Loriann Whitman, president of The Order of the Lumberjack, said.

In addition, in the cul-de-sac on Vista Drive there will be an area for “Trunk-or-Treat,” in which organizations can decorate a car and hand out candy from the trunk.

Students and organizations canearn community service hours by participating.

In previous years, there have been cake-walks, opportunities to pie people in the face, bake sales and many other games to enjoy.

“The local kids get a fun and safe place to get treats and play games,” Whitman said. “It’s a win-win for everyone .”involved.”
