GishiGo - Ride Share Network

www.GishiGo.com is a very good website for ridesharing. It significantly helps filter out the annoying people who use those "free and anyonymous" type websites. Basically, it uses PayPal and has a terrific network design. There are other websites like the facebook application and this GishiGo ... I typically use Craigslist with GishiGo -- but the facebook is information so might as well use that too. The more info you learn about people, the better off you will be.

Use your head when ridesharing. If you are college student, tell the other people to meet at the security deparment of your college. Travel with a friend. Take your cell phone. Confirm everyone's identity (that's a great feature of GishiGo - very powerful innovation) and avoid last minute games. Don't be afraid to walk away from rides if you don't feel comfortable.
