When Gov. Rick Perry signed an executive order requiring all 11 and 12-year-old girls entering sixth grade to be vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV), concerned parents throughout Texas raised a suspicious eyebrow.
Now that doctors are finding out that Gardasil, the HPV vaccine marketed by the pharmaceutical company Merck, can also benefit teenage and adult women from 13 to 26 years of age, some people are concerned the governmental order might be applied to University students as well.…
