East Texas mourns the loss of another son The funeral for Pfc. Travis Wayne Buford, 23, of Douglas was held Saturday at Laird Funeral Home, with Capt. Josseph L. Schrock, U.S. Army chaplain, officiating. Buford died Feb. 22, 2007 in Iraq. Buford was born March 18, 1983, in Houston and is survived by his parents, Anthony and Janet Buford, sisters Candice Buford, Douglass sophomore, and Whitney Jackson of Nacodoches, grandparents, Joe and Carolyn Fields; and great grandmothers, Minnie Boogie and Minnie Fields.… 1 Comment
