Students surrender pets back to animal shelter

Numbers rise at Spring Break and end of semester
Last March an SFA student brought her small dog to the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter to surrender it on the Thursday or Friday before Spring Break. The student told Jennifer Harris, Nacogdoches Animal Shelter supervisor, that she was going to South Padre and didn't have anywhere to keep the dog while she was gone.… 8 Comments

Volunteer Opportunities

Students can help the animal shelter in a variety of ways. Volunteers are needed to help groom, transport, foster and socialize pets. Volunteers can also act as adoption counselors, answer phones, take photos of the animals and keep the website updated, coordinate events, work in public relations or help with obedience training.… Post the First Comment

The Monday the SFA community returns from Spring Break, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes will present a campuswide Easter Egg Hunt. SGA Supreme Court overturns decision to allow only SGA members to appear on the ballots for executive office

Students who are not currently serving in SGA can appear on the ballot for executive office thanks to the SGA Supreme Court's 6 to1 decision to overturn an amendment to the SGA Election and Ethics Code. Now, . On Feb. 6, Jarratt Willis, SGA senator and Grand Prairie senior, wrote an amendment to Section II, Subsection B of the election code so SFA students could appear on the ballot for SGA executive office.… Post the First Comment

Campus Recreation offers summer pool memberships staring April 14

The department of Campus Recreation is offering summer pool membership. The membership is exclusively for outdoor pool usage and runs from May 12 to Aug. 17. Eligible and interested parties can purchase these memberships starting April 14.
