County Attorney John Fleming spoke to SFA students Tuesday night about changes in the law regarding alcohol related offenses. Career Services sponsored a symposium on Crime, Civil Rights and Terrorism on Tuesday afternoon, featuring three FBI agents with ties to East Texas. Robert E. Casey, special agent in charge of the Dallas Field Office, spoke mainly about the three core business areas of the FBI, which include national security, a counter intelligence program and cyber crime.… Post the First Comment

On 2-23-2009 an officer was dispatched to the lobby of UPD in reference to harassment. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with two complainants, one advised on 2-23-2009 she was assaulted near the Student Center by a known subject and the other complainant advised that she was receiving unwanted cell phone calls from several known subjects.… Post the First Comment

In honor of African American History Month, SFA's history department will celebrate African American culture and history with the community in its first three-day program entitled "Lest We Forget: Preserving African American Culture and History." The program, which will be held in Nacogdoches and Lufkin, will take place Thursday through Saturday.… Post the First Comment

Saturday marks the last show of the season for the newly reformed SFA Equestrian team. The girls will be battling it out in the West Texas A&M arena in Canyon against teams twice its size in hopes of taking home the top prize.
