SFA completes over 85,000 hours of community service

SFA's 85th birthday celebration took place last September with cake and purple ice cream, but the celebration continued throughout the year with an '80s-themed Homecoming and Parents Weekend. The 85th Anniversary Celebration Committee, chaired by Dr. Ron Anderson, wanted to find another meaningful way to celebrate and challenge students, faculty and staff, which is where the idea for the collective 85,000 service hours project was born.… Post the First Comment

Justice Reavley to speak at May commencement

Justin Thomas Morrow Reavley, Senior Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, will visit SFA to address the new graduates at the commencement ceremony next week. The deadline to apply for fall staff positions on The Pine Log and the Stone Fort yearbook has been extended to 5 p.m. Friday. Editors-in-chief have been selected for both publications, but all other positions are open.
