2010 grads to face difficulties in job hunts; 'job market has hit bottom, dwindled by 40 percent'
Many students are getting ready to graduate and head off into the real world. As exciting as this is, it is a hard time to be beginning a career. The job prospects for graduating students have dwindled to 40 percent fewer opportunities. Companies hiring bachelor's degree recipients are expected to drop nearly 1 percent for 2010, according to a Michigan State University survey, with master degree recipients' chances of being hired plummeting by 11 percent due to a weaker labor market for accounting students.…

On 11-19-2009 an officer was dispatched to lot 34 in reference to burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the complainant, who advised on 11-19-2009 her radio's faceplate was removed from her secure vehicle in lot 34. There are no suspects.…

Rec Center looking for 'upbeat employees'
The Student Recreation Center is having its annual job fair in the Rec Center on Dec. 3 between 3 and 6 p.m.

Orientation and Mobility Training Program re-awarded $500,000 grant
The Orientation and Mobility Training Program at SFA was re-awarded a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to continue its unique training for the blind and visually impaired through 2014.
The program trains students for careers that provide direct services to adults and children with visual disabilities, enabling them to move independently in familiar and unfamiliar environments with the use of a long cane.…
