Due to Coronavirus, the Fall 2020 Intramural Sports schedule will be modified to fit into the guidelines created by the CDC. These guidelines include a physically distant check-in process, cleaning of the SFA Campus Rec Intramural equipment and face covering requirements for participants.

The Recreation Center, or The Rec, will also only be offering sports that are able to follow the CDC guidelines. This semester, there will not be any flag football, volleyball or soccer games, in order to protect students. The Rec is also going to be cleaning the equipment they provide between games and after games are over.

The Rec will now be putting on One-Day Tournaments on Wednesdays, their first tournament took place on Sept. 9. There will be games such as Basketball Pong, Kan Jam and Spikeball.  Each tournament will take place for two weeks with an easy-to-register process.

“It is easy to get involved,” Talyn Sands, coordinator of Intramurals and Camps, said. “Just go to imleauges.com and sign up and register.”

Currently softball registration is over, but all other sports registration is still open. Kickball registration closes in October. For registration of the One-Day Tournaments, the registration will close the day of at 3 p.m.
