Students who live on campus will have the option of staying on campus as according to a press release from SFA, “Since SFA is your ‘home away from home,’ all residence halls will remain open on a normal schedule.”

The change was announced March 13 after listening to questions about returning to the residence halls. Classes will continue to be held online, events have been canceled or postponed until April 6 and students are advised not to gather in large groups; however, other student resources on campus will be open.

These student resources include:

-       Baker Pattillo Student Center

-       The Student Recreation Center will also be open for individual workouts, and the outdoor pool will be open.

-       Student Health Clinic

-       Steen Library

-       SFA Post Office

-       Disability Services

-       SFA Food Pantry

-       Counseling Services

-       Office of the Dean of Student Affairs

The updates include sections covering the Coronavirus, campus visitors and prospective students, student resources, students living on campus, parents and families, faculty resources, staff resources and community resources. A Frequently Asked Questions section can be found here.

The university will be maintaining a special call center for questions at 936-468-3401. The call center will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from March 13-15.
