SFA’s eSports club has partnered with Campus Recreation and Intramural Sports to host tournaments for the next four weeks. Unlike the original club, this tournament is free to the SFA community.

Anyone wanting to register for a tournament will have to use their SFA email to create an account on IMLeagues.com. The deadline for registration is one day before the event at 5 p.m. Instructions can be found on the website for each sport. Winners of the competitions will receive an intramural championship shirt.

Here is the schedule of competitions

April 11: “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare”

April 17:  “Apex Legends”

April 18: “Rocket League”

April 24: “Counter Strike”

April 25: “FIFA 20”

May 1: “Overwatch”

May 2: “League of Legends”

“Some of our competitions involve single player games, and some are team based,” Trace Seaton, coordinator of sports clubs and camps, said. “For the team-based games students are encouraged to form a team, however that is not a requirement.”

Players will need to have any games or equipment needed to compete. Any questions can be directed to Seaton at seatonwl@sfasu.edu or to Talyn Sands, intramural coordinator, at taly.sands@sfasu.edu. Players can also go to the eSports club president, Tim Sitton, at sittontd@jacks.sfasu.edu or find more information on Twitter @SFAesports.
