Buffalo Wild Wings, or BWW, has finally made its way to Nacogdoches. However, it has not received quite the reaction many people might have been hoping for. Many residents are not happy to be adding BWW to the town menu. Many took to the Nacogdoches Facebook group, Nacogdoches Talk, to voice their complaints.
Most were upset to not have anything new built, just another bar and wing joint. Others were upset about a restaurant being built rather than some form of entertainment for the community.
Amid all the complaints, I encourage people to remember what Buffalo Wild Wings is about. It is not just a bar, not just wings; it’s an experience. BWW is the hangout on sports day, the quick stop for lunch, the late-night snack and where friends can gather to enjoy a lively atmosphere.
Not to mention all the jobs it will create once it opens in December: server, bartender, cashier/greeter, shift lead and managers.
It might not be the most astonishing or new thing to be built, but it could be a bridge to exciting future business installments. Creating more business traction can lead to newer businesses and more interesting attractions.
For now, we should just enjoy BWW for what it is: something new.
