The Lumberjacks defeated the Lamar Cardinals 102 to 72 Saturday at William R. Johnson Coliseum in a conference matchup to pick up their sixth straight win in a camo themed “Hunt the Birds” game.
 
The Jacks dominated the game from start to finish and never trailed. They were led by Cameron Johnson who had 21 points in the game. Johnson went eight for 12 shooting from the field and two for two at the free throw line.
 
Roti Ware and Gavin Kensmil were not far behind Johnson with 17 points each. David Kachelries had 13 points.
 
After the win, the Lumberjacks are in second place in the Southland with a conference record of 5-0 and an overall record of 9-2. SFA is second only to Sam Houston State University which holds a conference record of 6-0 and an overall of 12- 5. SFA will face the conference leading Bearkats Jan.31 at home in a game with a potential first place spot in the Southland on the line.
