The Ladyjack volleyball team fell short on senior night to Sam Houston on Nov. 13 in four matches with an overall 1-3 loss for the night.  

The Ladyjacks are now 17-8 overall with a 8-5 record in the Western Athletic Conference. The final scores for the matches were 21-25, 20-25, 25-13 and 17-25.  

Freshman outside hitter Valeria Rosado led the kill count with a total of 13 kills. Leah Powell came up behind Rosado with a total of 12 kills. Rosado also had nine digs and three blocks with Powell getting three digs. 

The next game will be in a tournament against Chicago State at 5 p.m. Nov. 18 through Nov. 20 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. These will be the Ladyjacks’ last games of the 2021-22 season. 

The Ladyjacks’ last match against Chicago State was a 3-0 win for the team on Sept. 21 of 2019. The team won 25-12, 25-20 and 25-18.
