SFA baseball season starts this month

The Stephen F. Austin State baseball season starts Feb. 17 at home when the Lumberjacks will square off with the Kansas State Wildcats for the first game of a four-game series. 

SFA finished the 2022 season with a15-36 record (8-22 in conference play) and will look to have better luck this year. Kansas State leads the all-time head-to-head matchup series two games to one over SFA, with their last meeting being back in 2016. 

Some games to mark on your calendar this year are April 4 when the Lumberjacks head to Waco to play the Baylor Bears, April 28-30 when the Sam Houston Bearkats come to town and May 18-20for the final series of the season against the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.  

The first pitch for the season opener is Feb. 17 at 6:30 pm at Jaycees field in Nacogdoches.
