Coming off their second national championship in four seasons, the SFA Ladyjacks bowling team enters the 2019-20 season aiming for a repeat. Entering her ninth season, at the helm, coach Amber Lemke and her team enter the season poised for success.

The SFA Lumberjack football team lost to the Sam Houston State Bearkats 31-20 in the annual Battle of the Piney Woods. The Jacks have now lost nine straight matchups dating back to 2011. 

Marvel Studios, in partnership with Sony, did it again this summer by releasing another successful blockbuster, "Spider-Man: Far From Home." The film’s initial release date was set for July 5 but was released early on July 2. Starring Tom Holland as the titular hero, Far From Home is the 23rdinstallment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is the sequel to "Avengers: Endgame." To date, the MCU has released three films this year, including "Captain Marvel" in March and "Avengers: Endgame" in April. This is also the final film in the MCU’s “phase three” slate of films which kicked off with "Captain America: Civil War" in 2016. 

The SFA Ladyjacks soccer team will conclude its non-conference slate of games as they prepare to face Louisiana State University of Alexandria at 7 p.m. Friday and the University of Houston at 6 p.m. Sunday. Both matches will be held at SFA Soccer Field. 

SFA football returns to Homer Bryce Stadium for the first time this season as the team prepares for a non-conference clash with NCAA Division II opponent Tarleton State at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
